Emergency Pet Food Request Guidelines

The Pet Pantry offers temporary assistance to help individuals and families in need feed their pets and should not be viewed as a permanent source of pet food. The Pet Pantry does not donate to anyone breeding, selling or flipping animals and it reserves the right to refuse anyone under any circumstance, such as someone who is a breeder. By submitting this form, you agree to the following guidelines:

1. All pet food is provided on an “as available” basis and free of charge. Supplement amount may vary depending on supply on hand.

2. I understand that the goal is to provide supplemental food to animals whose owners are in financial need and is not intended to be the sole source of food for my pets.

3. I understand The Pet Pantry cannot be held responsible or liable for any adverse reactions sustained from any food donated to me for my pets.

4. The information I have provided is true and correct. I understand that any false information provided will result in permanent termination from this program.

5. Aggressive and/or disrespectful behavior is not tolerated and disqualifies the applicant from future assistance.

6. Understand that all pet food is donated and may not be the current brand you use to feed your pet, which may upset your pet’s stomach.

 7. Agree not to hold The Pet Pantry, its volunteers, and benefactors legally liable in the unfortunate event your pet(s) become ill, or the food upsets a pet’s stomach.

 8. Recipients agree not to resell, redistribute, or attempt to return to a store, any food or care items received from The Pet Pantry.

 9. The Pet Pantry will make every effort to consider special requests for certain formulas or flavors of dog and cat food (i.e., Senior, indoor, etc.), but are only able to give what is available at the time of the request.

EMERGENCY PET FOOD REQUEST

Disclaimer: For Emergency Situations Only

At The Pet Pantry, our mission is to provide emergency pet food assistance to pet owners in Middle Tennessee who are going through difficult times. We understand that unexpected hardships happen, and we are here to help when you need it most.

However, we do receive more requests than we have resources to fulfill. To ensure we can support as many pets and families as possible, we kindly ask that you use this service only for true emergencies. By doing so, you help us extend our reach to those in urgent need.

If you're experiencing ongoing financial challenges, we encourage you to explore additional community resources for more long-term support. We’re here to help in a crisis, and together with other local services, we can ensure your pets are cared for during tough times.

Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to continue making a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
